DaKoda's 11 month "Newsies"

1. DaKoda now has 8 teeth. Her 8th tooth broke through on June 16, 2008.
2. DaKoda is such a talker. She babbles and mumbles all day long. She definetely won't have any speech problems. She loves to mimic any guesture we make. Her favorite is sticking out her tongue and saying "dither". (Sorry, I don't know how to exactly explain that.)
3. DaKoda is very persistent. Even when you tell her no and pick her up, walk all the way down the hall, she will crawl right back down the hall to play with Brooke.
4. DaKoda loved the fireworks on the 4th of July.
5. DaKoda likes to try sneak some of our drinks. She tries so hard, but has never gotten much.
6. She really likes food if we are eating it too.
7. DaKoda tries to say "dog." We don't have a dog, but while we were at our family reunion in Duchesne (they have tons of dogs) she kept saying "daw" every time she saw a dog. Even once when she saw a cow.
8. DaKoda climbs!! She loves to climb onto Daddy's video rocker chair and stand up in it. She can also climb into Brooke's bed. She just can't get down very well.
9. DaKoda had her first taste of Orange Juice on the 4th of July. We had McDonalds for breakfast and Derek let DaKoda try some of his OJ. She loved it and we bought her own so we could put it in her sippy cup for the ride. She had OJ all over her white shirt. Thankfully we got most of it out before family pictures that afternoon!
10. DaKoda loves to put necklaces over her head. She is so smart, she usually makes it every time.
11. DaKoda does not like it when Brooke is sleeping. She constantly tries to crawl into the Kitchen, over to their door and bang on it. She loves playing with Brooke too much to let her take a nap.
